Headpoint wins Solihull Business without Borders Award 2026

14/09/26

Solihull-based corporate finance adviser Headpoint Advisors has won the Solihull Business without Borders Award 2026, recognising the firm’s success in connecting UK companies with international buyers, investors and opportunities.

The award celebrates businesses that have demonstrated excellence in international markets while supporting growth from within Solihull.

Headpoint combines strong regional relationships with international corporate finance capability. From its Solihull head office, the partner-led team advises business owners, management teams and investors on company sales, acquisitions, growth capital and other significant transactions.

In a typical year, more than 40% of Headpoint’s transactions involve a cross-border element, giving clients access to a wider international pool of strategic buyers and capital.

Rooted in Solihull, connected internationally

Solihull is home to around 8,500 active businesses and has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading locations for high-growth business potential.

The borough has particular strengths in professional services, technology, automotive, advanced manufacturing and other knowledge-intensive industries, sectors in which Headpoint has developed considerable transaction experience.

Headpoint’s presence in Solihull reflects a deliberate and long-term commitment to the area. The firm has continued to invest in its local office, expand its team and recruit experienced corporate finance professionals based in the Midlands.

Mark Wilson, Founder and Managing Partner of Headpoint Advisors, said:

“Solihull has been Headpoint’s home from the outset, and we are extremely proud to be part of a business community with such ambition, capability and international reach.

“We want business owners in Solihull and the wider Midlands to know that experienced, partner-led corporate finance advice is available locally when they reach an important point in their company’s development.

“This award recognises the work of our whole team, the trust placed in us by our clients and the international relationships we have built over many years.”

Supporting technology and business-services transactions

Headpoint’s recent work demonstrates the breadth of its experience across technology, industrial software, business services and cross-border M&A.

The firm advised CBPE on its investment in Birmingham-headquartered Brookbanks Development Group, a multidisciplinary consultancy supporting the planning, design and delivery of complex development and infrastructure projects. The investment will support Brookbanks’ continued growth through investment in people, services, geographic expansion and acquisitions.

Headpoint also advised the shareholders of Solihull-based FLAGS Software on its sale to US-headquartered Recur Software. FLAGS provides specialist quality-management and production-control software used in complex manufacturing environments across the automotive, aerospace, rail and marine sectors.

The transaction brought together Headpoint’s experience in technology, manufacturing and international M&A, while securing a long-term partner to support the continued development and international expansion of the FLAGS platform.

Headpoint’s technology credentials also include its work with Solihull-based B2B data-software provider Stickee Technology. The firm advised Stickee on a growth-capital fundraise from Santander and subsequently advised its shareholders on the company’s sale to US-headquartered Opensignal.

Together, these transactions show how Headpoint supports ambitious businesses at different points in their development, from raising capital for growth to completing a strategic international exit.

Local relationships with international reach

Access to international buyers and investors can broaden the strategic options available to business owners.

Cross-border transactions also introduce additional regulatory, cultural and commercial considerations that require careful coordination.

Headpoint’s partner-led model gives clients direct access to experienced advisers throughout a transaction. Its international capabilities are strengthened through Intermacq, the global corporate finance group of which Headpoint is a founding member.

Supporting Solihull business owners

Headpoint works with privately owned and founder-led businesses across Solihull and the wider Midlands, advising on company sales, acquisitions, valuations, management buy-outs, growth capital and exit planning.
