Management Buy-outs

Management buy-outs (MBOs) are a popular form of acquisition in the UK, which often enable the realignment of equity incentives within the business as well as providing a way of realising cash-out for the existing shareholders.

We provide advice and support at each stage of the transaction process, ensuring that an appropriate price is paid for the business within the right financial structure, and that the right funding partners are identified early on. As the investment cycle in an MBO is likely to last between three and five years it is hugely important that there is a cultural fit as well as alignment of objectives with the funders –  whether they be private equity funds, high street banks or specialist debt funds.

We manage all aspects of the MBO transaction to a successful conclusion.
