Headpoint advised Cha Technologies, headquartered in Switzerland, a global conglomerate with diversified businesses in property, technology, textiles, financial services and healthcare on the sale of its UK subsidiary, Cosmotec Nonwovens to global manufacturer, Airtech Advanced Materials Group.
Cosmotec is a manufacturer of needle-punch and air-bonded nonwoven textiles, operating from its eight acre manufacturing plant in Blackburn, the heart of the UK’s textile manufacturing industry. The company specialises in bespoke, niche manufactured products that serve the geotextiles, filtration, construction and automotive sectors.
Airtech Advanced Materials, headquartered in Huntingdon Beach, California has operations in the US, Europe and Asia serving the aerospace, composite, automotive and defence sectors.
The transaction marks a significant milestone for Cosmotec, which will become an integral part of Airtech’s global operations, unlocking immediate synergies and enhancing Airtech’s position as a leading nonwoven manufacturing capability in Europe.
Cosmotec’s expertise in niche products and short lead times will further enable Airtech to expand its product portfolio for its global customer base.
