Sale of Stalis to Egress Group

Deal Summary

Headpoint Advisors has advised the shareholders of Stalis Limited on its sale to Egress Group, backed by FPE Capital. The sale completed on 26 January 2024.

Founded in 1984, Stalis has unrivalled experience supporting health and care providers with their complex data migration requirements, providing a complete data quality and migration service and suite of tools. These include a data archiving solution, which can be embedded into EPR systems, providing clinicians with instant access to the full patient record at the point of care. The company has completed projects with a wide number of NHS Trusts across the UK and Ireland.

Egress Group, also renowned for their data migration work across healthcare, the public and private sectors, has significant system integration and interoperability experience, proven in a number of recent NHS transformation programmes. FPE Capital invested in Egress in April 2022, its first investment from FPE Fund III, the firm’s third software and services focussed fund.

The acquisition brings together renowned providers in their respective data management fields, combining more than half a century’s experience working on large-scale, complex, multi-system change programmes.

This deal highlights Headpoint’s ability to work with a wide group of shareholders, navigating a technology business focused on NHS clients and conclude a successful exit to a private equity backed corporate buyer.
